Android Developer shall be responsible for development and deployment of android based applications for web, TV Streaming and mobile.

Candidate must know below points for Android -

1. MVVM

2. ExoPlayer , VideoView

3. MediaController

DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Key Result Areas

Detailed Job Responsibilities

- Application design and development

- Designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform.

- Bug fixing and improving application performance

- Design the UI and build applications on "KOTLIN" for the android mobile & TV streaming platform

- Require to do Payments gateway integration

- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

- Measure the app's responsiveness, such as load times, screen transitions, and overall smoothness

- Track the frequency of app crashes per user sessions or installs

- Optimization code and application size optimization

- Shall be responsible for benchmarking and optimization

- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as "touch"

- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

- Write high-performing, scalable, reusable code

- Maintain the code and customization of the application

- Design and implement updates and optimize the apps

- Average time taken to resolve reported bugs or issues.

- Unit testing

- Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

- Device based / OS Version based checks to be handled.

- Perform automated unit test

- Deployment and monitoring

- Proofreading your code and correcting mistakes before each app is released.

- Collaborating with UI and UX Designers, as well as Software Testers, to ensure that each app is presentable and in perfect working order.

- Responsible for Third party library integrations

- Measure the time taken from feature development to deployment.

- Track how often new versions or updates are released.

- Reporting's & team management

- Collaborate with various team to define, design, and ship new features integration.

- Measure the individual's contributions toward team objectives, such as collaboration in problem-solving or knowledge sharing.

- Assess responsiveness and effectiveness in communication within the team.

JOB SPECIFICATION :

To be successful in this role you must have :

- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services

- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

- Should have worked on MVP, MVC & MVVM Architecture

- Knowledge of Jetpack Components, Media/Music & Video Player libraries, TV Apps, and Payment gateways

- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git/BID Bucket, JIRA

- Familiarity with continuous integration

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

- 3 to 5+ years' experience in relevant field

- Verifiable leadership experience and capabilities, with past successful project execution

- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proven ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
