Location: Ahmedabad (Prahladnagar)Experience: 2+ YearsSalary: Up to 12 LPATimings: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM5 work daysAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Australian Tax Accountant with strong technical expertise in preparing and reviewing tax returns across individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies under ATO regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in BAS/IAS preparation, financial statement finalization, and month-end reconciliations for Australian clients.This role involves direct client interaction, high-quality compliance work, and collaboration with Australian accounting teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review individual, company, partnership, and trust tax returns in accordance with ATO guidelines .Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and FBT returns .Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations , including AP, AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations.Prepare and review financial statements as per Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) .Execute tax calculations, adjustments, deferred tax workings, and supporting schedules.Stay updated on Australian tax laws , GST, PAYG, FBT, and superannuation regulations.Liaise with clients, auditors, and internal teams for tax clarifications and compliance matters.Identify opportunities for process improvements , automation, and workflow optimization.Support senior managers in reviewing workpapers, tax planning, and client communication.Manage multiple client portfolios with a strong focus on quality, confidentiality, and deadlines .Technical Skills RequiredProficiency in Australian tax software: Xero Tax, MYOB, HandiTax, APS, Reckon , etc.Strong understanding of GST, PAYG, FBT, Superannuation , and ATO compliance.Good knowledge of AASB and IFRS reporting standards.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial formulas, reconciliations).Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Xero , QuickBooks Online , or MYOB Essentials .Professional & Interpersonal SkillsExceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client portfolios independently.Strong verbal and written communication for effective client handling.Proactive, team-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.Educational QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance .CA / CPA (Australia) qualification is mandatory .Company OverviewOur client is a fast-growing professional services firm headquartered in Ahmedabad, specializing in global finance and accounting outsourcing.
