Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a GIS Lead located in Pune. The GIS Lead will oversee the development and implementation of GIS solutions, manage GIS data and systems, provide technical guidance to GIS teams, and ensure the integration of GIS applications with other business systems. The role involves collaborating with project managers, customers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, developing customized GIS applications, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency. The GIS Lead will also be responsible for training and mentoring team members.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and MapInfo
  • Proficiency in GIS data management, spatial analysis, and cartography
  • Experience in programming languages and tools such as Python, SQL, and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of database management systems like PostgreSQL and Oracle Spatial
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and web GIS technologies
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Relevant degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or a related field
  • Experience in the AEC industry and knowledge of e-governance solutions is a plus
