GBS – Tax – Subject Matter Expert - Direct Tax Compliance

The FLSmidth Global Business Services – Tax (GBS Tax) is being formed to support the Group’s compliance with Direct tax obligations globally. As a Subject Matter Expert for Direct tax Compliance, we will count on you to engage, connect, and collaborate with colleagues and service providers all over the world to ensure FLSmidth fulfills its’ obligations with respect to Direct taxes such as Corporate Income Tax and Withholding Taxes. This is an opportunity to join a team being built from the ground up and shape best operational practices to support of the preparation of Direct tax returns for our businesses globally.
 

Global Tax & Structure team

Your responsibilities

Compliance

Completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of end-to-end processes supporting the preparation of the Direct tax returns by outsourced service providers and in-house teams.

Management of the information flows with stakeholders.

Quality control of work product of FLSmidth’ s internal stakeholders as well as the work product of outsourced service providers.

Reporting

Support Tax and Finance teams with reporting and accounting of Direct taxes.

Controversy & Risk

Support Global & Regional tax teams with responses to Tax Authority audits and reviews.

Manage the identification, assessment and reporting of tax risks associated with compliance operations for Direct tax.

Strategy

Support the identification, development, and implementation of strategies to continuously improve Direct tax operational processes.

Governance

Ensure that GBS Tax Direct tax operations comply with Group Tax Policy and tax control frameworks.

What you bring
 

Mandatory: Subject matter expertise – Direct taxes Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree qualification in finance or commerce. Mandatory: Minimum Four (4+) years of post-qualification Direct tax preparation & filing management for EU based countries gained overseas, via Advisory firms, BPO’s or Corporate service excellence centers. Mandatory : Excellent English oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with global stakeholders and service providers. Strong financial analysis skills and familiarity with ERP systems. Ability to set priorities, plan, organize and work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines both personally and for a team.
