Equity Buyside Analyst Banking & Financial Services

Job Title: Buyside Analyst Banking & Financial Services

Experience: 7+ years

Role Overview

We are hiring a Buyside Analyst with expertise in the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) sector. The ideal candidate should have experience in equity research and will be involved in equity research, private equity transactions, and select Investment Banking mandates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and financial analysis on companies in the BFSI sector
  • Track and maintain coverage on listed and unlisted financial companies
  • Build and update financial models, valuation reports, and investment theses
  • Support evaluation of private equity investment opportunities
  • Participate in deal execution, including due diligence and transaction support
  • Work on select private equity fund-raising mandates within the BFSI space
  • Support the team in Investment Banking assignments related to fundraising and advisory
  • Monitor sector trends, macroeconomic indicators, and regulatory updates
  • Present findings and investment recommendations to the internal team

Candidate Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in equity research (BFSI sector)
  • Strong preference for candidates from the sell-side; buyside profiles with relevant exposure may be considered
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, company valuation, and sector analysis
  • Exposure to private equity and investment banking transactions
  • Ability to handle fund-raising mandates and liaise with stakeholders and investors
  • Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with lean teams
