Job Title: Vice President Purchase

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Purchasing to lead our procurement operations and contribute to the strategic growth of organization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, along with at least 20 years of progressive experience in procurement, preferably within the agrochemical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and market dynamics,Domestic as well as import with minimum value of Rs.1000 cr
• Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality raw materials and services.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize cost savings, quality, and reliability.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain to minimize lead times, reduce inventory costs, and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure that all purchased materials and services meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Cost Management: Monitor market trends and economic factors to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate price fluctuations.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the purchasing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all procurement activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong understanding of the agrochemical industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and supply chain challenges.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership ability, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications
