Job Title : SAP Developer (CDS Views and OData)

Job Description :

The SAP Developer specializing in Core Data Services (CDS) views and OData Development plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining SAP applications within the SAP HANA environment.


This role requires a deep understanding of SAP technologies, particularly SAP HANA Studio, Eclipse, and ABAP Object-Oriented (OO) programming.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Architecture and Problem Solving :


- Understand the overall vision, business requirements, and solution architecture for SAP applications.


- Utilize this understanding to solve complex problems effectively.

Technical Solution Design :


- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in CDS views, OData development, and ABAP programming to provide technical solution designs aligned with best practices.

Collaboration and Communication :


- Work closely with the process team to gather business requirements, review functional specifications, develop technical specifications, build applications, conduct unit testing, and support integration testing.

Application Development :


- Design and build applications following best practices, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.

Issue Resolution :


- Investigate and resolve production issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.

Support and Training :


- Provide support and training to other team members as needed, sharing expertise and best practices.

Other Duties :


- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support the smooth functioning of the SAP development team.

Education and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in SAP development, with a focus on CDS views, OData services, and ABAP programming.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

- Strong experience in gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions.-

- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Studio or Eclipse IDE.

- Proficiency in ABAP Object-Oriented (OO) programming.

- Expertise in creating CDS views and developing OData services.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Overall, this role requires a seasoned SAP developer with a solid understanding of SAP technologies, particularly in CDS views, OData development, and ABAP programming, along with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions effectively.
