Position Overview:


BEGUR & PARTNERS, a dynamic first-generation law firm renowned for its excellence and innovation in the legal field, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing team. This role is critical in managing the firm’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the legal industry, exceptional analytical skills, and a meticulous attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the firm’s budget, prepare financial forecasts, and provide variance analysis.

- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to management.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and standards, including tax filings and audits.

- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the firm’s assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the firm’s financial stability and liquidity.

- Client Billing: Oversee client billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.

- Collaboration: Work closely with partners and practice groups to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

- Audit Coordination: Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided.

- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.


Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the legal industry or professional services sector.
