COMPANY : JIO TESSERACT POSITION : SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER – FULLSTACK LOCATION : NAVI MUMBAI ABOUT JIOTESSERACT Jio Tesseract (tesseract.in) is an MIT Media Lab spin-off and RIL company on a mission to democratize mixed reality in India. Our recent products include Jioglass. JioGlass is a virtual reality eyewear that allows people to connect with each other in real-time. The JioGlass was designed and built by Tesseract. Tesseract develops technology for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) oriented products such as cameras, headsets, smart glasses for companies. Tesseract launched products such as a virtual reality 360-degree camera called Methane, largely taken up by the real estate websites and a VR 360 degree camera called Quark. Holoboard ( - world's first collaborative AR headset that works with any smartphone, Methane 360 VR Camera ( - an indoor mapping device and platform and Presence MR ( - a mixed reality editing and sharing application. Tesseract has been the winner of TechCrunch | TechNode Asia Hardware Battlefield (2018 - Gold), Nasscom Design4India (2018), Nasscom Emerge 50 League of ) and many more innovation awards. ROLE SPECIFICS MUST HAVE • Proficiency in Backend Development o Strong experience with backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or JavaScript o Expertise in working with frameworks such as NestJS, Express.js, or Django. o Microservices Architecture o Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures. o Knowledge of service discovery, API gateways, and distributed tracing. • API Development o Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs. o Experience with API security, rate limiting, and authentication mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth). • Database Management o Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB). o Experience in database schema design, optimization, and management. • Cloud Services o Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure,AWS or Google Cloud. • AI and Machine Learning Integration o Experience integrating AI and ML models into backend services. o Familiarity with using AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). GOOD TO HAVE • DevOps o Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). o Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g.Azure Devops, GitHub Actions). • AI Assistant Specific Experience o Experience in building or working with AI assistants or voice-activated systems. o Knowledge of speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) technologies, Large Language Models(LLMs). • Performance Optimization o Experience with performance tuning and optimization of backend services. • FrontEnd o Handon Experiance with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJs, Next.js, redux, JQuery SOFT SKILLS • Problem-Solving: o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. o Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide efficient solutions. • Collaboration: o Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills. o Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, data scientists, and product managers. • Communication: o Strong verbal and written communication skills. o Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES • Design and Development o Design and develop scalable and robust backend services. o Integrate AI and ML models into backend systems. • API Management o Develop and maintain APIs to support various frontend clients and services. • Database Handling o Design and manage database schemas and queries to ensure optimal performance. • Cloud Deployment o Deploy and manage services in cloud environments, ensuring high availability and scalability. • Collaboration o Work closely with frontend developers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver high-quality features. • Continuous Improvement o Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance the product.
