The candidate should
Chennai based
MBA, CFA or CA will be an added asset
Possess knowledge and interest in private equity, mergers and acquisitions
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Have a background in investor relations, private placements, investment banking and similar fields
Be highly self-driven
Be able to work across multiple teams and assignments
Possess a keen eye for detail
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong inter-personal skills (written and verbal) as the job entails constant communication with the team, clients, investors and industry peers
Have a demonstrated ability to write effectively
Be a collaborative team player
Have strong time management skills with ability to multi-task
Amenable to working long hours
Responsibilities :
The analyst will be based out of Chennai and will assist and support the distribution team on all aspects of each private placement in a capital raise. The work shall include but not be limited to –
following market trends,
organization and review of the data room,
preparation of the documentation related to the capital raise and coordinating with investors on the deliverables,
drafting private placement materials,
attend GP/LP meetings, conference calls and circulate call notes to the attendees,
follow up on all active running matters,
coordinate deliverables between the project management and distribution teams,
provide insight reports, ad hoc data and analysis requests,
review all material, deliverables and documentation,
assisting in sourcing new investors,
prepare and maintain investor profiles,
calendar management.
Qualifications:
2-5 years prior experience in Finance
Bachelor Degree required in accounting or finance
MBA, CFA or CA will be an added asset
Strong work ethic and results-oriented mentality
Personal and professional integrity
Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
