1 | SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our growth and expansion initiatives in the southeastern region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales, and partnerships within the e-commerce industry. You will play a critical role in driving business opportunities and fostering relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
2 | MAJOR DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Business Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion in the southeastern region.
· Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities, trends, and customer needs within the e-commerce landscape.
· Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and acquire new clients and business partners in the region, establishing and nurturing long-term relationships.
· Sales and Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive client engagement, proposal development, and negotiation.
· Partnership Management: Manage and strengthen relationships with existing partners and explore new collaboration opportunities to expand our market presence.
· Product Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns and initiatives to drive product awareness and sales.
· Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
· Cross-functional collaboration : Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product, operations) to ensure seamless integration of business development activities with overall company goals.
· Client Support : Provide exceptional customer service to clients and partners, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
· Industry Networking : Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and best practices through networking, attending conferences, and other professional development activities.
3| REQUIRED SKILL SET:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the e-commerce industry.
· Strong understanding of the southeastern region's market dynamics and customer preferences.
· Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
· Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and online sales strategies.
· Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
