Role & responsibilities

Physical Training

  • To organize and coordinate the sports activities for Students and/or Staff.
  • To evaluate essential fitness among students, assessing students' physical abilities in sports events and select for different sports, at the beginning of academic year.
  • To check eligibilities of the participating players at the various sports events, conduct selections and form teams to participate in various Sports and Games competitions.
  • To facilitate training and coaching of selected students for various games and sports competitions.
  • Collaborating with college authorities and faculties, organize and supervise extracurricular sports programs and sports clubs to provide additional opportunities for students to participate in physical activity.
  • To accompany the students teams as coach for sports events if needed.
  • To monitor the students using the Gym facilities at the hostel and provide support when needed.
  • To support in organizing national festivals like Independence and Republic Days at the Institute

Equipment Maintenance

  • To plan and coordinate the procurement of any equipment required for the department as per the procedures of the institute.
  • Responsible for maintenance of equipment and facilities including Gym.
  • To report non-working of the equipment to higher authorities and coordinate their servicing/repair.

Records & Reporting:

  • To maintain the records of participation and results of Institutional sports events, Inter-Collegiate and external sports events.
  • To maintain the file/s and registers of the Department of Physical Education & Sports including Indent book, Stock register, Equipment service register, Condemnation register, Issue register, records of students participation and achievements and any other records as applicable.
  • To submit the monthly report of the activities to the Dean's Office. Preparation and submission of annual report at the end of every academic year and during annual cultural/sports/graduation meetings.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of patient flow in the Reception and OP Registration area.
  • Motivate and register the patients under the ABHA scheme. Provide periodical repon on the registration to Dean's Office.
  • To perform any such duties when allotted by the higher authorities.

Experienced in Physical Education with minimum 2 Years of Experience
