Workday HCM Specialist
Key Role:
Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) Specialist configuration, day to day operations and deliver projects by leveraging strong project management skills, creativity of an architect, and process orientation of a functional expert. Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices, Partner with Functional Stakeholders, Solutions Architects and Subject Matter Experts to understand pain points, prioritize requirements, and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiencies. Architect Workday HCM solutions to ensure all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated. Provide primary Workday Tenant Management support. Coordinate priorities and programs with Integrations, Reporting, Security and Data Leads, manage a team and mentor junior members of the team.
· The HCM Specialist plays a key role in overall Workday architecture and maintenance across Workday applications and possesses a deep understanding of the Workday HCM structure and its components along with their implications on the broader enterprise technology landscape.
· Work closely with cross functional / business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify gaps and risks, suggest alternatives, and advise on best practices
· Collaborate with both technology and business teams to identify, develop, implement, and maintain Workday HCM
· Architect Workday HCM solutions that ensure all work streams are cohesive and cross-functional impacts are considered and mitigated
· Configure and maintain organizations and business processes along with coordinating such needs across security, reports and integrations across all Workday modules and users
· Conduct HCM reviews and audits to ensure compliance
· Serve as subject matter expert and assist peer teams in mitigating risks and providing best practices
· Review and manage functional enhancements and change requests
· Create, document, and maintain proper internal controls
· Promote continuous improvement of Workday HCM processes and provide reports to identify improvement opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience with HCM systems including Time-Offs/Absences
· 2+ years of experience with at least three of the Workday HCM modules including Recruiting, Core HR, Time-Offs, Learning, Talent, Advanced Compensation and Performance Management
· 2+ years of experience with Project Management
· 1+ years complete Workday HCM implementation experience
· Basic Workday Report creation experience
· Knowledge of HR processes
· Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
· Knowledge of touch points with Payroll, General ledger, and other People technologies
· Ability to work well in structured and unstructured environments, under pressure, and with changing priorities
· Possession of excellent consultative, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills
· Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Workday Security experience
Due to the nature of work performed within this team and the fact that BrandSafway is headquartered in the USA with the bulk of its workforce employed in the USA, a high-level working knowledge of U.S. Human Resources practices will be highly preferred.
