The successful candidate will play a pivotal role building and leading a high-performing team of developers capable of delivering high quality data solutions for a diverse set of internal customers. Strong technical acumen with modern data platforms, architectures and best practices is required with the ability to mentor less experienced developers and analysts. The ideal candidate has experience delivering work through Agile or SAFe.Job Description & Responsibilities:Lead a team of developers and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, team-driven decision making, continuous improvement, ownership and high-quality deliveryHire, retain and develop talent, including providing accurate and timely coachingIdentify and mentor future leadersPlan, design and build multiple modern data products like data pipelines, data streams, and data services at the same timeManage cross-team dependencies and work with tech leads on solutionsManage consulting partners, statements of work and outdatesSupervise and review activities of consultantsEffectively communicates up, across and down the organization including with internal customersPrepare and present ideas & recommendations to colleagues and managementEducation Qualification & Skill Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related fieldTypically requires minimum of 11+ years' work experience in a large-scale, enterprise environmentTypically requires 8+ years of hands-on experience implementing data solutions in an Agile environmentAdvanced experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, SAP Datasphere, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Python, PySpark, Power BI, SSIS or other cloud-based data systemsAdvanced experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CDAdvanced experience with database storage systems such as cloud, relational, mainframe, data lake, and data warehouseAdvanced experience building cloud ETL pipelines using code or ETL platforms utilizing database connections, APIs, or file-basedAdvanced experience with data warehousing concepts and agile methodologyAdvanced experience designing and coding data manipulations applying processing techniques to extract value from large, disconnected datasetsRequires a deep understanding of data engineering principles, strong managerial skills, and the ability to drive innovation and operational excellenceDeep technical experience across multiple technologies, governance frameworks, data security and data platformsThought leader in organizations defining and implementing data mesh-based platforms and ingestion strategies to enable various data needsExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsAbility to challenge the status quo and question “we’ve always done it this way”Demonstrates initiative and leadershipAble to think critically and be solution focusedStrong interpersonal skills and able to work easily with business personnelWorks as well independently as within a teamHigh accountability with a demonstrated ability to deliverStrong collaboration skills working with architecture, design, and development teamsGreat organizational, time management and problem-solving skillsPossesses a professional demeanor
