Job description


Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping the architecture, design and security of the collections product. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our software systems.


Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience with maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth integration and deployment workflows.
  • Managing version control repositories (e.g., Git ) and ensuring proper code branching and merging strategies.
  • Managing Cloud Infrastructure by overseeing the setup, configuration, monitoring, scaling, and maintenance of computing resources hosted on cloud platforms. Implement disaster recovery and backup solutions
  • Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges and enforce best practices, and deployment processes. Regularly review system performance and suggest optimisation strategies. Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps engineering working with CICD pipelines (GHA/Jenkins/Azure Devops etc).
  • Experience working with Docker and Docker Compose. Orchestration tools like Kubernetes and OpenShift are a plus.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, ansible etc. And running a large platform infrastructure in production.
  • Proficient with Unix/Linux (Linux Shell scripting) and Python scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure and GCP cloud services, including infrastructure
  • Experience with logging and log aggregation tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and other monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New relic etc.
  • Networking expertise to ensure that services can securely and efficiently communicate, scale, and remain highly available.
  • Experience with implementing security best practices in system design and configuration, including encryption, firewalls, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Familiarity with database management and optimization is a plus
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications are a plus.
