Role Description This is a consultancy-based contract role for a Mechanical/Electrical Service Engineer based in India. The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, and after-sales support of cigarette packaging equipment. Primary regions are India and UAE, global assignments are possible depending on project needs and applicant availability. Key Responsibilities Contributing to installation and commissioning of high-speed cigarette packaging equipment. Provide technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and service support to customers. Conduct equipment testing, calibration, and optimization to ensure efficient production performance. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary technical contact during equipment installation. Train client staff on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery. Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, service reports, and commissioning records. Travel within India, UAE, and globally as required to support installation and after-sales activities. Qualifications Proficiency in Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, and Inspection techniques. Knowledge of automatic packaging equipment and related industries. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a client-facing environment. Prior experience in installation and commissioning of cigarette packaging equipment (G.D, Molins, Sasib, Focke) is a plus. Flexibility to travel and willingness to work on-site in dynamic environments.
