JOB SUMMARY

Operate and handle team for CAD and process automation and customization. Provides support for sales orders, quotations, and ensures design accuracy models, drawing and other required format files based on the requirement of the project. Need to create template models in CAD and integrated with WPF UI and PLM. Need to deliver executables as per the requirement and maintain those files and data. Support the team with required source code and help to enable stable design architecture in both CAD and programming.

Super user for CAD software’s, SAP, Vault and interfacing between CAD and other software’s, guiding the users to standardize 3D modelling and drawing process. Customizing CAD tools to automate the design activities, Training the users in CAD and SAP. Trouble shooting of the problems. Contact for all CAD related IT issues. Performs other activities as assigned.

 PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering support to product line for SPX flow. Undertake customization projects in CAD, Vault, and associated activities. Standardizes and monitors the working methods in CAD, Maintains discipline of working on project folders, vaults Understands the need of the project from Design. CAD and IT perspective and assist the design team in completion of the activities. Provide automation support for manual task with customized executables. Need to create project plan and deliver date with justification. Able to handle team efficiently. Creation of 3D models and assemblies with automation architecture. Develops and maintains drafting standards, checklist, and testing procedure for cad automation. Discusses with site engineers to seek information, clarification, and feedback.

  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience with design and cad automation of industrial equipment (Actuators, pumps, motors, filters, valves, coupling, Heat Exchangers preferred. Experience in the mechanical industry and domain is essential.

Experience of working and standardizing 3D modelling , assembly, drawings, analysis and customization using CAD, Preferably Autodesk inventor & Vault, SolidWorks, Knowledge or experience of handling integration activities of CAD with respect to Vault, SAP, Web tools, any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Inventor API and I-Logic programming skill required. Able to work with Git and Devops. Database handling skills in XL, SQL XML etc. required. Programing experience and capability needed for CAD customization & integration with ERP– example VB, , C#, Java, Open API, Database management tools. IT savvy, Good understanding of IT infrastructures – servers, printers/plotters, Licensing Good verbal and written communication skills. Team player with a positive attitude. Takes initiative in activities. Willingness to learn new processes and applications. Willing share knowledge, supportive in helping others. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Strong knowledge about design principles in programming.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

B. E/ B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD design, or similar required. Highly experienced in interpreting Design concepts/layouts and Bills of Materials to produce high quality 3D models and detail drawings for parts and multi-component assemblies. Experienced in producing models and drawings for a wide array of components and assemblies, including but not limited to castings, rough and precision machining, fabrication and piping. 8-12 years related experience required from working in similarly industrial / mechanical engineering environment. Experience of working on NPD is preferred. Experience in .Net framework, C# programming language, Visual studios, Git, SQL etc. Experience in managing small team and project management. Good communication skills required.
