Job Description
As a cornerstone of the media production process, the Production Manager is responsible for leading our dynamic team through the complexities of production. This vital role combines creative vision with strategic execution, ensuring that every project is delivered to the highest standard and meets our ambitious company goals.
The Production Manager will be expected to foster a proactive, solution-oriented environment where efficiency and creativity go hand in hand. With responsibility for both the big picture and the minute details, this role is designed for a leader who thrives on bringing concepts to life and guiding projects from initial brief to final delivery.
Here are the job functions:
  • Oversee the entire production process from inception to completion, ensuring projects adhere to the budget, timeline, and quality standards. Responsible for detailed planning and resource allocation.
  • Lead all production teams, ensuring seamless collaboration between departments. Mentor and manage production assistants, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
  • Serve as the a liaison among project stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication across all levels. Responsible for the clarity of directives and updates as critical to project success.
  • Manage all logistical aspects of production, including contracts, equipment, and facilities management, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and swiftly implement solutions, maintaining project integrity and momentum.
  • Negotiate with and manage suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and maintaining strong professional relationships essential for project success.
  • Manage the set preparations with lights, props, equipment etc.
  • Setting up the shoot location strategically
  • Overseeing and assisting all project departments such as wardrobe, directors, camera people and other crew members
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed, printed and distributed
  • Escort actors, talent, models around the area
  • Manage crowd control by organizing signs, directing pedestrians away from set, lock down sets etc.
  • Ensure all the team is updated and proper communication is happening within crew and cast
  • Assign and perform administrative work
  • Assign and perform errands as required
  • Planning, managing and handling transport for equipment, talent and crew
  • Planning, preparing and packing items
  • Making sure the set is clean and tidy at all times
  • Calling a variety of suppliers to negotiate, plan and coordinate
  • Set out chairs and tables on set
  • Creative direction research
  • Assisting with creating storyboards/mood boards
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Adding suppliers to database
  • Contacting potential suppliers
  • Compiling supplier pricing
  • Putting together production plans for shoots
  • Compiling budgets for projects
  • Coordinating payments to suppliers
  • Managing the maintenance of the warehouse and production inventory

  • Following up on all unfinished internal projects or to do tasks
  • Ensuring the legal agreements and templates are organized for the production department
  • Creating SOP’s for the production department and training staff on those SOP's
  • Meeting with suppliers to negotiate and educate
  • Representing SNAP14 at community events and in public
  • Flag any potential legal issues
  • Speaking with or training students at workshops, schools or any educational institution
  • Identifying issues that need fixing within the department
  • Recommending initiatives and goals
  • Monitoring performance of department

Skills:

Organization/Multitasking: This is probably the number one skill that you have to possess if you want to be a production assistant. You have to be ready and willing to balance a multitude of jobs at the same time. If you don’t enjoy paperwork, running errands and working on multiple things at once, then being a production assistant is not the job for you.
Strong Computer Skills: As a production assistant, a lot of your work will be spent working on a computer. You need to be comfortable trouble-shooting computer issues and you need to be able to make your way around programs like Google Workspace and Zoho One with ease.
Communication: As the production assistant you will be a point of contact for some of the crew and you need to make sure that you are communicating with all of the appropriate people and getting the right messages to the right people. Be clear with instructions and emails and make sure that you are understood, don’t just assume that people have received your emails or calls, follow up with people.
Project/Task Management: Proficiency in managing projects and tasks from inception to completion is crucial. This involves planning, executing, monitoring, and closing out tasks while ensuring that objectives are met on time and within budget.
Requirements What we are looking for?

  • Preferably with previous experience with Zoho apps and/or other software tools i.e. Zoho, Google.

  • Written and verbal English and Arabic is a must.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies.
  • Flexible with working hours and days.
