Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Software Engineer with over 4 years of
experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
backend development, particularly using Django and Flask frameworks. The role also
requires familiarity with frontend technologies, API development, and a solid understanding
of both relational and non-relational databases. Experience in real-time project development,
especially in the eCommerce domain, will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable backend applications using Django and
Flask.
- Design, build, and maintain robust APIs to support frontend functionalities and third-party
integrations.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to create seamless and
responsive web applications.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Manage and maintain databases including MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis to ensure data
integrity and performance.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement them effectively.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and improve user
experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure we are
leveraging the best solutions.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and shared knowledge across the
team.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on Django and Flask.
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
- Proven experience in API development and integration.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies including React.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL) and non-relational databases
(MongoDB, Redis).
- Proficiency in deploying applications on AWS and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in real-time project development, preferably in the eCommerce sector.
- Solid understanding of RESTful principles and experience in designing RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of Node.js is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in full-stack development.
- Understanding of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Education:
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or
equivalent practical experience.
