This is a Zero to One team undertaking a greenfield health insurance deployment in India committed to building journeys that will truly empathize with the customer and offer a differentiated, uniquely delightful, and bespoke experience.To partner us in this mission, we are looking for a talented…Job Description: Lead DevSecOps EngineerAs a DevSecOps engineer, your typical week would include the followingBuild and operate cloud infrastructure for Prudential Health India, including all aspects of DevSecOps e.g. release management, infrastructure provisioning through CI / CD tools, monitoring & alerting of application, database management, infrastructure security and site reliability engineering.Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering, to deployment to production, to triaging production issues, to proactive monitoring.Design, develop, unit test and implement pipeline and infrastructure programs that support high availability (5 9’s uptime), flex scalability, reliability (instant failover to BCP/DR) with latency to be 99th percentile being less than 30ms.Come up with desired sets of standards to be followed to build and deploy backend and frontend continuously and seamlessly.Conceptualize and incorporate reusable pipelines and infrastructure development frameworks.Create specifications and detailed plans, write code, own unit, performance and functional testing and debugging, and play an active role in the rollout and launch.Work in close collaboration with other engineers, designers, R&D, analysts, product managers and other teams and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes for the company.Required to forecast, budgeting and optimize software license & infrastructure costs.Manage multiple interfaces (internal and external), relationship and communication to ensure systems are running and available.Mentor and upskill other technical staff on DevSecOps principles.Develop capabilities ingrained with enough intelligence around user activities and usage 100% adherence to enable user behavioural analytics using events and crashalyticsYou can define and ensure adherence to architecture and coding standardsKeeping up with innovativeness to build world class propositions using bleeding edge technologies, frameworks and best practices as needed to bring differentiation through technology.You could be the right candidate if youQualification: Bachelor’s in engineering from a recognized instituteHave deep technology expertise, enterprise-grade, best-of-breed.Understand and have experience in ecosystem/platforms-as-a-service approach.Have knowledge and experience of wellness and Insurance domain capabilities.Understand and can demonstrate Prudential’s core values in whatever you do.Have solid foundation in algorithms, data-structures, software frameworks and patterns, systems and architectureAre not intimidated by the rapidly changing technology ecosystem and keep your current through self-learning and constantly playing around with latest technologies.Are fanatical about technology and are always on the look-out of newer better ways of building solutions using state-of-the-art and bleeding edge technologies.Understand the concept, needs, requirements and can conceptualize to design and build solutions for end users/Enterprises.Are obsessed with providing the highest quality product and experience to the customer using the power of software.Are a highly driven individual who goes that extra mile to deliver an outstanding product to the business team and end users/customers.Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced and hyper-growth environment using agile methodologies where the requirements are fluid and engagement with end users is needed through smart use of latest technologies.Have extensive experience in evaluating system-wide platform decisions and building systems for long-term. Have an attentive ear listen to new ideas.Thrive in environments that celebrate co-creation and collaboration.Have strong technical knowledge on building scalable backend platforms using micro-services.Have built best in class backend platforms/services using micro-services.Are passionate about leveraging new age digital tools and technologies to transform customer experience.Like to work in a culture where everyone can see what others are doingTake help from others when stuck and encourage others when there are setbacksTake full responsibility for your team’s contribution output while thinking wing to wing across the organization; to solve for the customer.Have experience of 7-12 years in DevSecOps & site reliability in building and managing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support massively large-scale distributed internet systems and products in multi-cloud infrastructure (GCP and Azure).Have worked and experience delivering in any one of the domains like health or life insurance, wellness, payments, financial services ecommerce, insurance core systems, health tech, insure tech, tele-sales & non voice customer servicing platforms, loyalty platformsHands-on DevSecOps-engineering experience and demonstrable body of work (Min. 7 years)Comfortable working closely with stake-holders across teams / BU (Product / Dev / Assurance / Security / Infrastructure) and has a strong sense of ownership.Extensive experience in Azure, AWS cloud technologies and well versed with best practices around Networking, Security , Capacity Planning and Cost optimization techniques.Should be hands-on currently and can provide guidance to the teams on DevOps tools independently.Should be able to setup and build processes and tools for release management, infrastructure provisioning, alerting, monitoring and uptime.Good depth in understanding of Container technologies and Kubernetes eco-system and tools like GKE/AKE etc.Should be able to manage and operate NoSQL databases using best practices. Good to have prior experience in managing and tuning databases.What can make you extra specialDemonstrable experience building high performance & highly available enterprise platforms catering to millions of daily traffic with 24 X 7 service stability/availability to end users/customers.Experience in building and scaling infrastructure using technologies like TerraForm, Google Cloud Deployment Manager etc.Understanding of High Availability / DR design with Uptime / MTTR / MTTD / MTTF.Prior experience in tools like Kafka & Zookeeper and monitoring rollout tools such as Prometheus and Elasticsearch.Prior experience in driving the Audit process is a plus.Superior organization, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.Proven track record of managing critical IT stack with high level of vigilance implemented using automated monitoring and self-healing technologies.You have real stories to tell about how your team and you challenged convention and took the path less travelled.We are keen to listen to your story; doesn’t matter if you tell these stories with a sigh or with excitement.
