Job Summary
Product Manager is responsible for driving growth and profitabilityin a product portfolio as well as
lifecycle managementfrom planning to tactical execution. They will manage aspects offiber solutions
strategy & growth and develop newideas and concepts based on industry experience and the voiceof
the customer. This position will collaborate with allfunctions of the company including but not limited
toR&D S&M Business Development Manufacturing & OperationsFinance Legal and Sales
Operations. This position will report tothe Product Director. You will make an impact in thefollowing way:
Responsible for managing fiber cablingsolutions such as loose tubes tight buffersindoor/outdoor
etc and also fiber connectivity such aspatch cords MPOs connectors and passive optical network
(PON) products.
Manage product portfolio revenueprofitability growth and product price lists define marginlevels
and coordinate with the pricing manager to ensurethe growth in revenue and profitability for various
product lines with the product portfolio.
Nurture a3year product roadmap and product funnel through 1/ ideation &innovation process as
well as 2/ new product developmentstagegate process. Manage product portfolio roadmap and
lifecycle from strategic planning through to end oflife.
Lead the new product development process and takeresponsibility for quantifying the market value
andfinancial viability of proposed products. Apply project managementtools as appropriate.
Drive the product line businessgrowth and work with crossfunctional teams in engineeringsales
operations customer service and accounting/financeServe as the internal and external evangelistfor the product line. Coordinate with sales andmarketing teams to create comprehensive goto
marketplans. Conduct market positioning andcompetitor analysis systematically collecting and analyzingmarket
(PAM/TAM/SAM) data and competition initiates andtheir new product developments/product
specifications.
Provide commercial & technicalassistance to S&M application engineers distributors andcustomers
as & when requested.
Visit keycustomers and distributors to understand VOC conduct producttraining educate them on
new technologies and solutionscreate value for our company spec in key parameters & featuresthat
benefit the customers requirements troubleshootchallenges they are facing with their currentsolution or from using our products. Understand plan andcommunicate how a product fits into
overall solutions tocustomer problems.
Visit the customer and project officeto bring the design and interface input from the designand
solution document and deliver technicalpresentations and product training for customers andO&M
staff
Maintain the contractrequirements concerning technical and deliverables and createcustomer files
and provide technical support forcomplete project solutions based on information andproject
requirements.
Meeting with theinterface partner (RST E&M OHE viaduct and tunnel) andproviding the
requirements concerning DCS implementationfor the entire project. Maintain the interface log and
Interface control document.
Coordinating with theProject management team and support team directly forproduct/feature
/design envelopment.
Providing frontline technical support on quality issues and sitedesign improvement.
