Content Specialist

The Content Specialist’s main focus is content in the orientation phase of the customer journey, where content includes both information and inspiration. This person supports the webshop goals, such as increasing the add-to-cart rate, by adding different types of content seamlessly into the shopping experience. Examples of content types include creating buying guides and new page linking opportunities on product listing pages.
The Content Specialist is responsible for making sure that all marketing content* in the customer journey has a strategically relevant and logical place (supports KPIs), helps customers, as well as stays fresh. This person arranges the publication of new content pages that create awareness around new product groups and makes sure that all content is easy to find. In this role, good English grammar and copywriting skills are essential, next to strong project management skills and a natural willingness to take initiative.
The Content Specialist supports the Marketing Content Manager (?)
by continuously arranging new content publication initiatives, links to, and updates for content that will increase users’ chances of finding what they’re looking for. This role is a cross-team collaborative position where the Content Specialist actively arranges initiatives with the help of other teams, like CRO, UX/UI, SEO, Social Media and Branding. Furthermore, they are constantly looking to improve the way that users find our content pages and arrive to our web shop, by diving into performance data and competitor research.
*All website content, apart from product content, with the main goal of improving the customer’s experience which has proven to have a positive effect on CR and ATC%.
Skills
Promotional and awareness-increasing content pages for new product category launches.New content initiatives and updates to website content that create an engaging shopping funnel.Improving the findability (interlinking) and SEO-friendliness of all marketing content.Taking the lead in and initiating (web shop) content projects and A/B tests to get data-driving proof.Collaborating with other teams to initiate improvements.Competitor content research.Creating a seamless connection between different channels and the website.
Develop content that works in all vidaXL languages & countries.Keep track of the performance and KPIs of all web shop content.Provide enough research-/ data-based evidence for new initiatives.
Must-haves:
Fluent in English (written & verbal).Project management.Professional online communication.Experience3-5 years’ work experience in e-commerce.English copywriting & editing.Project management in multi-cultural, corporate environments.Teamwork and independent work.Knowledge in Google Analytics.
Nice-to-haves:Knowledge of SEO.Basic HTML & CSS knowledge.
