Summary:Directs the activities of a software systems development function, software applications development function, and a software quality assurance function for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Most companies should be able to match to a specific software development management position. Use this position if company does not breakout software development positions such as Software Engineering (Applications) Mgmt (2142-2146) or Software Engineering (Systems) Mgmt (2162-2166). Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Duties & Responsibilities:Duties/Responsibilities:Staffing for permanent and contract employeesHiring and retaining permanent staff for the AMS division at the site and developing a relationship with local contracting firms to also facilitate transient hiring as required.Consulting with management and software developers to determine software solution requirements.Evaluating software solutions and system performance, as well as supervising the software development team.Managing the development, deployment, and integration of sofwaresolutions.Determining system specifications and analyzing test stage data prior to software installation.Resolving software deployment and integration errors, and documenting processes.Performing routine maintenance and monitoring performance metrics.Keeping abreast of new software technologies, as well as conforming to best practices in cybersecurity.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems, information technology, or similar.6-10 years of experience in software development and team management of multiple teams.Proven experience in building strong teams, from scratch.Ability to effectively work multiple recruiting strategies.In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript.Ability to mentor junior software developers, as well as to collaborate with all stakeholders.Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with some the following:Master's degree in a related field preferred.Experience with full-stack development.Experience with AI/ML application development.Experience in development using Big Data toolstacks.Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
