We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist

The DDI technology team is a cross functional capability that focuses on building, maintaining and supporting platforms for clients as well as core business teams like Custody, Fund Services, Middle Office etc. Our multi-disciplined teams include Application & Data Engineers, Architects, DevOps Engineers, Infra Specialists & Programme Managers. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to play a major role in our strategic multi-year, multi-million dollar Digital and Data Transformation Programme to support the global business.

The role holder is expected to work in partnership with Technology & Product Heads, Platform Leads, Architects and technology delivery teams to deliver on the agenda for the DDI function.

In this role, you will:

• Responsible for hands-on design, build and delivery of new as well as management of existing Digital and Data technology services.
• Responsible for adoption of Industry standard best practices
• Responsible for the delivery and rollout of strategic Digital and Data Technology platform globally, in line with the roadmap agreed with the business.
• Responsible for leading global high performance technology delivery teams
• Build excellent relationships with Product, Product Delivery and Operations teams.
• Identifies and removes barriers to success.
• Promotes and takes accountability for quality; identifies opportunities to improve delivery and oversees the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions.
• Promotes a positive work culture based on respect for people, integrity of actions, creativity and collaboration leading to increased productivity.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on (codes) Full stack Engineer with an ability to independently design and build complex, reusable, scalable & highly available solutions on-prem & cloud infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8 , 11 , 17 with deep understanding of data structures and collections
• Strong hands-on expertise in Springboot, Spring Web, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Spring Scheduler, Spring Message.
• Strong hand-on expertise in design patterns, microservices architecture, Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing
• Hand-on Experience in large scale Data Management applications
• Hands-on Experience in RDMS & NoSQL Databases like Mongo & PostgreSQL
• Hands-on Experience in messaging services like IBM MQ, Kafka, Solace, Pub/Sub
• Hands-on Experience in DevOps tooling (e.g Jenkins, Git, Ansible).
• Hands-on Experience in Unit test automation using Junit and exposure test automation frameworks like selenium, Cucumber.
• Working experience on basic UI technologies like REACT, NodeJs would be an added advantage.
• Experience in banking domain would be an added advantage.
• Well verse with Agile ceremonies and experience in double hatting development & scrum master roles.
• Provide technical coaching/training and drive Industry standard best practice adoptions across the team.
