Position Overview: We are looking for a talented Video Editor to join our creative team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with our brand’s voice and objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong editing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling. You will collaborate with the creative team to produce high-quality video content for various platforms including social media, websites, advertisements, and more.
Key Responsibilities: Video Editing & Production:
Edit video content from start to finish, ensuring high-quality standards and alignment with the project’s creative vision.
Trim, sequence, and assemble footage, adding audio, visual effects, and graphics as needed.
Apply color correction, sound design, and audio mixing to ensure videos are polished and professional.
Content Creation:
Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to understand the project’s objectives and create videos that meet those goals.
Create short-form and long-form content, including promotional videos, social media clips, tutorials, advertisements, event recaps, and more.
Assist in creating video content for various channels such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and internal use.
Post-Production & Final Delivery:
Export videos in various formats optimized for different platforms and maintain file organization and storage.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality final cuts and versions for different stakeholders.
Continuously review and refine editing styles to stay consistent with the evolving brand guidelines and trends.
Collaboration & Feedback:
Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to ensure content meets creative and technical requirements.
Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to revise and improve video content as needed.
Creative Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques, tools, and trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table.
Suggest and implement creative improvements to elevate the quality and effectiveness of video content.
Archiving & Organization:
Maintain a well-organized video library and archive footage to ensure quick access for future edits or projects.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Video Production, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 2+ years of video editing experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in editing, motion graphics, and post-production.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs.
Experience with After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or other motion graphics tools is a plus.
Strong knowledge of audio editing and mixing tools (e.g., Audition, Pro Tools).
Understanding of video codecs, resolution formats, and export settings for various platforms.
Creative Skills:
Ability to craft compelling narratives and tell stories visually.
Strong attention to detail with an eye for color correction, composition, and pacing.
Experience with motion graphics and visual effects is a plus.
Personal Attributes:
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
