We are committed to excellence in design, manufacturing, and service, with a deep focus on API 6A equipment used in wellhead and tree applications. We are currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer who specializes in choke and manifold design per API 6A & API 16C to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a critical role for an experienced professional with a robust understanding of API 6A/16C standards and the design of chokes and manifolds. Only experienced professionals in this specialty will be considered. Key Responsibilities - Design and development of pressure control equipment per API 6A and 16C standards (choke valves and manifolds). - Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor, Vault or similar CAD tools. - Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other mechanical calculations to validate designs. - Ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME Section VIII, and customer-specific requirements. - Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams. - Provide engineering support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts. - Participate in and/or lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and engineering change processes. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of internal engineering standards and best practices. - Assist in preparing technical documentation, including material specifications, test procedures, and certification packages. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master’s preferred. - 7 + experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil & gas industry. - Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with API 6A product design and certification processes. - Proficiency in INVENTOR, VAULT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, MathCAD, etc.). - Strong understanding of designing equipment per ASME Section VIII boiler and pressure vessel code - Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards is a must - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, heat treatment, etc.). - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. - Authorized to work in the U.S.
