What We’re Looking For
As the Manager - Cloud Engineering , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's cloud strategy while overseeing the implementation and management of scalable and secure cloud solutions. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and technical expertise to lead a team of cloud professionals, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments and alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
Define and implement a strategic roadmap for cloud engineering, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee the design, deployment, and management of secure and scalable solutions across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
Manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers, fostering professional development and high performance.
Ensure robust cloud security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and compliance with global standards.
Lead the optimization and automation of infrastructure and workflows using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
Oversee SOC operations, including threat intelligence, incident response, and risk mitigation strategies.
Conduct high-level reviews of vulnerability assessments and ensure timely resolution of security gaps.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective integration of cloud systems with enterprise applications.
Optimize cloud costs and ensure efficient resource utilization across projects.
Monitor and adapt to emerging trends in cloud technologies and security practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience in cloud engineering and security, with 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
Expertise in designing and managing secure cloud architectures for AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Proven experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and securing network configurations, including firewalls and VPNs.
Advanced knowledge of containerization and automation tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
Strong understanding of SOC operations, incident response, and SIEM platforms.
Demonstrated experience in cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
Advanced scripting proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
Preferred Skills:
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities with a track record of successfully guiding technical teams.
Experience managing large-scale multi-cloud environments and hybrid deployments.
Familiarity with advanced monitoring and analytics tools for performance optimization.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business objectives.
Demonstrated ability to stay current with evolving cloud technologies and industry trends.
