What You'll Do

You will be part of Cisco Unified Identity team. We provide the best common identity platform experience to our world-class customers using cisco products across Networking, Security and Collaboration. You will work on state-of-the-art microservices based cloud software in a dynamic and agile environment.


Who You'll Work With

You'll be collaborating with a team of experienced and dedicated Java server-side developers and cloud/web technology architects from around the world. The team is a unique mix of engineers/architects from a promising cloud-based start-up acquired by Cisco and seasoned engineers that worked in Cisco cloud software for years.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex architecture and design effort for well-established, large-scale systems to optimize services for improving scalability and reduce operations cost.
  • Driving innovation within the team
  • Help the team adhere to modern engineering principles and practices, code reviews, and project management techniques.
  • Engage in project planning, work prioritization and contributing to project roadmap.
  • Participating in governance activities, managing technical tasks and ensuring quality assurance through test validation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BE/B.Tech or MS/M.Tech in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of proven server-side software development experience with Java.
  • A strong experience in building and operating highly scalable, distributed and fault-tolerant cloud applications
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in multi-threading programming with Java
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and team collaboration skill

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge about Active Directory, Identity Management (SCIM), Authentication / Authorization (OAuth2), OpenID-Connect is a plus
  • Experience in building and operating scalable Kubernetes Clusters, Containerization, Virtualization and Cloud based System Management
  • Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, CloudFront and/or Elastic Cache with Redis
  • Experience with Cloud Identity Providers like Okta, Microsoft EntraID
