Role OverviewWe are looking for aQuant Developer / Systems Architectto join thefounding teamat IX7 Research.You will play a central role in designing and implementing the firm’s trading and research infrastructure — from the backtesting framework to real-time execution systems.This role is ideal for Enterprising Builders, who thrive in technically demanding environments, and wish to see their work translate directly into live systems and measurable results.ResponsibilitiesBuild and optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.Implementasynchronous programmingand handlereal-time data flowswith WebSockets.Design bothlow-level (LLD)andhigh-level (HLD)system architecture.Write clean, maintainable code inPython(orC++ ).Develop APIs (FastAPI optional) and manage data servers.Collaborate with frontend teams (Next.js) for data visualization and interfaces.Manage version control usingGitand work withNode.jswhere needed.Integrate and test trading strategies with the quant research team.RequirementsStrong programming skills inPythonorC++(must-have).Solid understanding of backend architecture, async programming, and data systems.Experience in (or interest in)quantitative systems ,trading tech , orfinancial data .Detail-oriented, analytical, and enterprising.Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Ability towork independentlyand collaboratively within a team.Experience withhigh-performance, scalable backend systemsis a bonus.
