We are a remote-first company with flexible hours. Job Summary: Student Direct Digital is seeking a Freelance Full Stack Developer. In this role, we are looking for who is comfortable building end-to-end applications in Python on the backend and modern JavaScript frameworks on the frontend. You will also help integrate AI features into real-world products. This role is ideal for someone who is strong in fundamentals, hands-on, and eager to work with modern AI-native product stacks. Responsibilities: Build and enhance backend services using Python (FastAPI / Flask / Django) Develop clean and responsive UI with React/Next.js (or similar) Build and integrate REST APIs & microservices Work with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and write efficient queries Handle data processing tasks — CSV/Excel/JSON cleaning & transformation Integrate AI/ML models, embeddings, or LLM APIs (OpenAI/HuggingFace etc.) Deploy applications (basic cloud or Docker experience preferred) Debug, test, and maintain existing services and UI component Follow version control (Git) and documentation standards Requirements: Backend Strong Python fundamentals Experience with Flask / FastAPI / Django Understanding of REST APIs & backend architecture Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and working with ML/AI APIs Frontend Hands-on experience with React / Next.js or similar framework Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Axios/Fetch, state management Additional Requirements - Git & GitHub Basic knowledge of DBs (PostgreSQL / MongoDB / MySQL) Familiarity with Docker or cloud basics is a plus Any personal AI projects: chatbots, RAG, automation scripts Knowledge of Langchain / Vector DBs (Pinecone, Chroma etc.) Experience deploying apps (Render, Railway, AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel) Exposure to CI/CD workflows Strong problem-solving, willingness to learn, curiosity for new tech Ownership and ability to work independently Bias toward shipping and learning fast Clear communication & collaboration Document what you build - clean code mentality Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities Experience working with remote teams is an asset Ability to work in EST time Why Join Us: Innovative Environment: Be part of a cutting-edge startup that's redefining digital media.
