Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Description
Play a crucial role in contributing to the vision of proactive operations and engineering excellence in operations Contribute hands-on in the transformation, development and establishment of DevOps engineering practices in the organization Work in close collaboration between the global and regional DevOps units to streamline, standardize and enhance the DevOps practices and processes Being part of the DevOps digital delivery platforms & Cloud Operations CoE, this role will need to collaborate closely with units like Cybersecurity, Architecture and agile execution teams to build solutions addressing the common shared goals of the cloud platform Contribute to the high availability and operational efficiency of the solutions by pushing continuous improvements in application/infrastructure monitoring Hands-on contribution in critical aspects of cloud platform engineering like platform level cross region backup & restore, security, infrastructure as code, monitoring infrastructure etc., Contribute to platform scalability and operational architecture Provide continuous visibility of the operational efficiency to the organization through building and orchestrating automated data collection and visualization of key performance indicators
Education & Experience
University degree in Information technology, engineering or equivalent At least 5 years of experience in technical operation roles in complex projects/solutions Prior experience in working on large scale production systems in technical operations and platform engineeringDesired skills
MandatoryVery good knowledge & hands-on experience in Key foundational services in cloud platforms like AWS (preferred), Azure or Google Cloud PlatformKey Services like AWS Control Tower, IAMInfrastructure-as-code toolchain like AWS Cloud Formation/CDK/Terraform or similarSetting up and managing modern monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Splunk etc.Setting up & managing CI/CD toolchain like Gitlab (preferred), Jenkins or similar in large projects with automated guard railsGit based SCM tools with best software development practices well versed in various branching, versioning & tagging strategiesPlatform engineering aspects like platform scalability, resilience, disaster recovery, security etc.Strong scripting skills (Python) and ability to build scalable software delivery pipelines Nice to HavePrior development experience in Java, JavaScript & TypeScript will be a plusStrong willingness and attitude to continuously learn and adaptRead more on
