Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and eager-to-learn Junior Desktop Engineer to join our IT support team. This foundational role is ideal for individuals looking to build hands-on experience in desktop management and workplace technology. You'll be responsible for providing technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and supporting essential IT services such as printing and network access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, software applications, and hardware
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop environments
  • Support printing services, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of printers
  • Handle basic network connectivity issues (e.g., Wi-Fi, LAN access, VPN setup)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and IT staff to escalate and resolve complex issues
  • Participate in routine system checks and updates to ensure optimal performance

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
  • Familiarity with common office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment
  • Prior internship or helpdesk experience is a plus but not required
