Job Description Summary: We are seeking a skilled VMware & Linux Infrastructure Administrator (L2) to join our dynamic IT Services team. This role is critical in maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our virtualized and cloud-ready infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing VMware vSphere and vCenter environments, administering Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), ensuring high availability through effective resource management and disaster recovery planning, and supporting enterprise-grade server virtualization across HP hardware platforms. With a strong foundation in ITIL practices and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous service delivery. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain VMware vSphere and vCenter environments across production and non-production systems. Perform day-to-day administration of Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), including patching, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning. Implement and manage server virtualization strategies to optimize resource utilization and scalability. Monitor and troubleshoot virtual and physical infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Develop, test, and execute disaster recovery plans in alignment with ITIL best practices. Support OpenShift container platform deployments and integration with existing virtual infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. Document system configurations, procedures, and change management activities in accordance with ITIL frameworks. Provide technical guidance and support to L1 teams and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with security policies, change control processes, and service level agreements (SLAs). Requirements Requirements: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Linux server administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu). Proven experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and VMware Server environments. Strong understanding of server virtualization, resource allocation, and performance optimization. Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution, including backup and restore procedures. Familiarity with ITIL principles and incident, problem, and change management processes. Proficient in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues across virtual and physical environments. Experience with HP ProLiant server hardware and firmware management. Knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly OpenShift, is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented IT environment with strong attention to detail. As a key contributor to infrastructure operations, the Server Infra Admin L2 supports incident resolution, performs system upgrades, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure IT services that align with business objectives.
