About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Senior Warden to oversee the daily management and operations of our residential facilities at IIS. This role requires not only ensuring safety, discipline, and welfare of athletes but also providing strong leadership, guidance, and administrative oversight. The Senior Warden will play a key role in creating a supportive, structured, and athlete-first living environment while supervising the hostel staff.

Key Responsibilities

Hostel Management & Supervision

• Oversee the smooth functioning of residential facilities and ensure hostel operations run efficiently.
• Maintain discipline, adherence to hostel rules, and a positive living atmosphere.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of premises.

Safety, Security & Welfare

• Ensure the safety, well-being, and security of all the athletes.
• Manage emergency situations effectively and coordinate with medical and security teams when needed.
• Monitor attendance, athlete movements, and maintain detailed records of residents.

Discipline & Athlete Guidance

• Act as a mentor and provide guidance to athletes in managing personal, academic, and professional challenges.
• Resolve conflicts promptly and fairly while fostering a culture of mutual respect and responsibility.
• Promote positive behavior and ensure the hostel remains a supportive environment for growth.

Coordination & Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact between athletes, parents, and IIS management regarding residential matters.
• Coordinate with departments such as security, housekeeping, medical, and administration to ensure seamless hostel functioning.

Administration & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records, including resident profiles, emergency contacts, and medical details.
• Prepare periodic reports on hostel operations, incidents, and athlete welfare for IIS management.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, and ensure timely resolution of maintenance needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in hostel/residential management, preferably in an educational, sports, or institutional setting.
• Proven leadership and staff management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with athletes and parents.
• Ability to manage conflicts, handle emergencies, and take sound decisions under pressure.
• Fluency in English and Hindi (knowledge of Kannada or other regional languages is an advantage).
• Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures is desirable.
