Automation tester

Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Automation Tester based in Mumbai, with some flexibility for remote work. The Senior Automation Tester will design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for software applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables. The individual will also perform manual testing as required, document and maintain test cases, and validate APIs through testing. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the QA process and ensure adherence to best practices. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven  Senior Automation Tester  with strong expertise in  Core Java ,  Python , and  test framework development . The ideal candidate will play a key role in accelerating release cycles through robust automation, utility creation, and proactive issue resolution. This role demands a quick learner with excellent coding, debugging, and collaboration skills, and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops tools.   Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain  automation frameworks  using  Core Java  and  Python . Create and execute  automated test scripts  for functional, regression, and integration testing. Build  custom utilities and tools  to support testing and development workflows. Identify and resolve coding issues quickly to ensure smooth and timely test execution. Optimize automation execution for  faster release cycles  and continuous delivery. Work with  Docker  containers to manage test environments and simulate production-like setups. Use  Linux commands  for log analysis, environment configuration, and troubleshooting. Integrate test automation with  CI/CD pipelines  using  Jenkins  and  Git . Collaborate with developers, QA, Dev Ops, and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. Participate in  Agile ceremonies : Daily Stand-ups : Share automation progress and blockers. Sprint Planning : Estimate automation efforts and align with sprint goals. Backlog Grooming : Ensure stories are testable and automation-ready. Sprint Reviews : Showcase automation coverage and results. Retrospectives : Suggest improvements for automation processes and team collaboration. Maintain clear documentation of automation frameworks, utilities, and test results. Stay updated with emerging tools and technologies in test automation and Dev Ops.   Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong programming skills in  Core Java  and  Python . Proven experience in  test automation framework development and maintenance . Hands-on experience with  Docker ,  Linux ,  Git , and  Jenkins . Solid understanding of  CI/CD pipelines  and Agile methodologies. Ability to  quickly identify and resolve coding issues . Experience in  utility creation  to enhance automation efficiency. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Self-starter with a passion for  learning new technologies  and driving innovation.
