Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled Teradata BTeq Engineer to join our support team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for Teradata BTeq applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and support data management processes.

Experience:1- 8 years of experience with Teradata BTeq, including scripting and job optimization.Strong background in relational Database (Oracle/SQL/Postgres)Hands-on experience with Teradata SQL programming, developing scripts, functions using Teradata utilities.

Key Responsibilities:Technical Skills:Provide technical support for Teradata BTeq scripts and applications, addressing issues raised by users and stakeholders.Monitor and optimize BTeq jobs for performance and efficiency.Troubleshoot and resolve BTeq-related errors and failures, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure accurate data retrieval.Develop and maintain documentation for BTeq processes, scripts, and best practices.Assist in the deployment of new BTeq scripts and enhancements, ensuring thorough testing and validation.Participate in on-call support rotation and address urgent issues as they arise.Conduct training sessions for team members on BTeq best practices and new features.Stay updated on Teradata technologies and BTeq enhancements to provide effective support.

Soft Skills:Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Flexibility to meet critical deadlines as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related fieldCertification in related technologies is desirable.Experience/Willingness working in Support Role
