BASIC PURPOSE:The primary responsibilities of the AWS Machine Learning Engineer are to design, develop and deploy Machine learning models using AI/ML technologies within the AWS framework. This role will collaborate closely with the product and software development teams to operationalize these ML solutions for automating key business processes across the enterprise for both talent-facing and internal applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Leverage AWS ML platform services and frameworks to deliver production ready models across multiple internal and external applicationsBuild predictive and generative models specific to product needsAnalyze large data sets and build data pipelines for model trainingCollaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliverHigh quality, predictive models for both internal and commercial useDevelop tools to help detect shifts in data/features used by ML models to identify issues in advance of deteriorating prediction quality, monitoring the uncertainty of model outputs, automating prediction explanation for model diagnosticsWork with product managers to ensure that projects proceed on time and on budgetDocument process steps to ensure reasonable human oversight and tracability back to data inputsResolve technical roadblocks and mitigate potential risksDrive Innovation and implement solutions with future thinkingAlways learning and sharing ideas and concepts with the extended Application Solution Delivery teams as the AWS ML expert for the organizationMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation

QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / related engineering field OR equivalent experienceIn a related field5+ years of software development experience2+ years’ experience developing ML solutions in AWSStrong proficiency in the AWS Cloud ecosystemProven hands-on with serverless technologies (Lambda)Hands on development experience developing enterprise software solutions in Python or RExperience with building data pipelinesPossess the ability to understand business processes and design creative ML automation solutionsExperience with MLOps such as AWS Workload OrchestratorAWS Certification highly desiredGood written, verbal communication skillsGreat team player
