We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Administrator to manage Snowflake data platform on Azure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Snowflake architecture and operations, and experience with Azure services. You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of our Snowflake environment to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.
There will be weekend on-call for this admins have to support alternate week rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Snowflake Administration:
• Administer and manage Snowflake environments, including setting up accounts, roles, and permissions.
• Configure and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, and tables.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the Snowflake environment.
• Integration with AZURE:
• Set up and manage Snowflake integration with Azure services
• Ensure seamless data ingestion from ADO to Snowflake and manage data pipelines.
• Performance Tuning:
• Monitor query performance and optimize SQL queries for better performance.
• Manage virtual warehouses to ensure efficient resource utilization and cost management.
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement and manage data security policies to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standards.
• Configure and manage access controls and user authentication.
• Data Backup and Recovery:
• Implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and durability.
• Manage data retention policies and lifecycle management.
• Automation and Scripting:
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine maintenance tasks and data management.
• Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to proactively manage the Snowflake environment.
• Data Governance and Cataloging:
