Our client is a rapidly expanding UK-based tech startup, recognised for its innovative solutions and dynamic culture. They are scaling up and are on the lookout for a talented Senior UX Designer to join their dynamic team and contribute to developing cutting-edge user interfaces and experiences.


Job Summary:


The Senior UX Designer will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling, efficient, and intuitive user experiences across all digital platforms. This position involves a deep understanding of user-centred design principles and a commitment to making strategic UX decisions that drive company success.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and business teams to gather and understand requirements.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for various devices and interfaces.
  • Identify UX problems and devise elegant solutions.
  • Make strategic design and UX decisions related to core functionalities and new features.
  • Develop and maintain detailed UI/UX specifications and design patterns.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing digital projects.
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Axure RP.
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, competitive analysis, case studies, and customer research.
  • Proficient in prototyping, requirements gathering, and UX research.
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
  • Extensive experience using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to iterate designs efficiently and intelligently.
