Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the video content team, managing daily operations and ensuring the production of high-quality news videos.
- Supervise and mentor a team of video producers and editors, providing guidance, feedback, and support to maintain high production standards.
- Coordinate the creation of video content, ensuring timely and accurate coverage of local, national, and international news stories.
- Translate and adapt video content between Hindi and English, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Oversee the entire video production process, including scripting, filming, editing, and post-production.
- Edit and proofread video scripts for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
- Collaborate with the digital team to optimize video content for the mobile platform, including titles, thumbnails, and multimedia elements.
- Monitor news trends and emerging stories, ensuring the platform remains current and competitive.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key sources, experts, and contributors for video content.
- Ensure compliance with journalistic ethics, legal standards, and technical specifications.
- Work closely with other editorial teams to integrate video content into the broader news agenda.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Film, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in video production and editing, with at least 2 years in an editorial or leadership role.
- Fluency in Hindi and English
- Proven translation skills and experience in adapting content for different audiences.
- Exceptional skills in video production, editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), and video equipment.
- Strong storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with mobile news platforms and digital content optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
