Job Title:Data Modeler (Banking Domain)Location: Pan IndiaEmployment Type: Full-TimeExperience Level: 7 yearsAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Lead Data Modeler to join our data transformation program within the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, data architecture, and large-scale data transformation , with hands-on expertise in Erwin Data Modeler and exposure to AWS Redshift environments.You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data models (L2 Layer), collaborating closely with senior stakeholders, data engineers, and business teams to ensure data integrity, scalability, and alignment with business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement L2 Layer data models for large-scale data transformation programs.Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting enterprise-level data initiatives.Work with relational and big data systems to create scalable, optimized data architectures.Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align data models with business requirements.Use Erwin Data Modeler (or similar tools such as SAP Power Designer or Microsoft Visio) for data modeling and documentation.Partner with data engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designed models.Optimize data models for performance, consistency, and scalability within AWS and Redshift environments.Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior data modelers and analysts.Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure compliance with data governance standards.Required Skills & QualificationsProven experience in Data Modeling with strong expertise in Erwin Data Modeler .Banking domain experience is mandatory ; understanding of financial data is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of relational databases , SQL , and data architecture principles .Experience in designing enterprise data models , ER modeling , and data transformations .Experience working with large datasets and big data environments .Exposure to AWS ecosystem and Redshift database models .Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment .Preferred QualificationsExperience with Anaplan or financial planning data systems.Familiarity with additional data modeling tools like SAP Power Designer or Microsoft Visio .Prior experience in a large data transformation program within financial services or banking institutions.
