Job Description – Node.js Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer with 3-4 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in designing and maintaining backend systems that support scalable and efficient applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in server-side development, PostgreSQL, and serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda. A strong foundation in Node.js frameworks like Express is essential, along with a deep understanding of modern development practices.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js and Express.

• Integrate user-facing components with robust backend logic.

• Design and implement secure, low-latency, and high-availability serverless solutions using AWS Lambda or similar serverless technologies.

• Build and optimize database schemas in PostgreSQL to support business needs.

• Implement best practices for security, data protection, and efficient data handling.

• Monitor and troubleshoot production-level systems to ensure uptime and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Write clean, reusable, and testable code following industry standards.

• Conduct unit testing and integrate automated testing platforms for quality assurance.


What We're Looking For:

• Experience:

• 3-4 years of professional experience in backend development with Node.js.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficient in JavaScript and modern Node.js frameworks like Express.

• Hands-on experience with serverless technologies, particularly AWS Lambda.

• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and its nuances.

• Expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.

• Familiarity with caching tools like Redis for performance enhancement.

• Experience with user authentication, authorization, and secure data handling.

• Proficient with Git and version control workflows.

• Additional Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of scalable application architecture.

• Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.

• Basic understanding of containerization tools like Docker.


Good to Have:

• Knowledge of ElasticSearch for search functionality.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development workflows.
