Job Position: Fashion Designer

Location: Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon

FS Life is a group of homegrown brands that are thoughtful, and relevant and solve unmet apparel and lifestyle needs for modern Indian women. It was launched in September 2016 with FableStreet, a premium western wear brand focused on providing the best fit for Indian women. It has now evolved into a multi-brand organization with Pink Fort — a modern Indian wear brand reimagining traditional clothing for the woman of today and March — a silver jewellery brand.


About the role:


We are looking to hire Fashion Designers responsible for creating innovative and trendy Western wear collections. This role requires a deep understanding of fashion trends, a strong creative vision, and extensive experience in Western wear. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing successful collections and the ability to guide and inspire a team of designers.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Led the conceptualization and development of Western wear collections from initial idea to final product.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, fabrics, and techniques relevant to Western wear.
  • Create detailed sketches and oversee the development of prototypes and samples.
  • Work closely with other departments including marketing, merchandising, and production to ensure cohesive product development and successful launches.
  • Oversee fittings and alterations, ensuring designs meet the highest quality and functionality standards.
  • Identify and liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure timely production.
  • Mentor and develop junior designers, fostering a creative and productive team environment.
  • Prepare and present design concepts and collections to senior management and stakeholders.


Qualification & Experience:


  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Fashion Design or a related field from NIFT and Pearl Academy
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 2-3 years focused on Western wear.
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD).
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and textiles specific to Western wear.
  • Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
