Website: Description: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with 5 or more years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux systems, networking principles, and a passion for automation and scalability. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Azure, Kafka, Nginx, and PostgreSQL will be a significant advantage in this role.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment pipelines to ensure the rapid and reliable delivery of software.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters to support our growing infrastructure needs.
Utilize Azure services for infrastructure provisioning, management, and monitoring.
Implement and maintain Kafka clusters for real-time data processing and streaming applications.
Configure and optimize Nginx for load balancing, reverse proxying, and SSL termination.
Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing improvements as needed.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities for critical systems and services.
Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role in a production environment.
Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
In-depth understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
Experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters in a production environment.
Proficiency with Azure services such as VMs, Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Monitor.
Familiarity with Apache Kafka, including setup, configuration, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with Nginx configuration for web server optimization and security.
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including installation, configuration, and administration.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Kubernetes, Redhat, networking, Azure, or other relevant technologies.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker/podman/containerd.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
Understanding of security best practices and principles in cloud environments, including an ELK stack.
