Shopify Developer (with WordPress Experience)

Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and motivated
Shopify Developer
with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have solid experience working with
Shopify theme development, customization
, and
app integrations
, along with a working knowledge of
WordPress
. You will play a key role in building, customizing, and optimizing eCommerce websites for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
– Develop and customize responsive Shopify themes and implement new features as needed.

– Modify pre-existing Shopify themes based on client requirements.

– Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Shopify stores.

– Integrate third-party apps and APIs with Shopify.

– Work with Shopify Plus features (if applicable).

– Assist in setting up and configuring payment gateways, shipping methods, and taxes.

– Maintain and update WordPress websites as required.

– Customize WordPress themes and plugins to align with brand and functionality requirements.

– Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to create seamless user experiences.

– Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO.

– Perform website testing and debugging across multiple browsers and devices.

Required Skills & Qualifications
– 2–3 years of professional experience in Shopify development.

– Proficient in
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
, and
Liquid
templating language.

– Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party app integrations.

– Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

– Working knowledge of
WordPress CMS
, including custom themes and plugins.

– Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

– Good understanding of SEO principles and best practices.

– Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with Shopify Plus.

– Familiarity with headless CMS or Jamstack architecture.

– Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Figma for handling design files.

– Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
