Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources manager to oversee the recruitment and retention of blue-collar workers in our retail operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources management, particularly in high-volume, blue-collar environments, and will be adept at developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop our workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for blue-collar positions.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create job descriptions.
Manage the entire recruitment cycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
Establish partnerships with local community organizations, vocational schools, and job fairs to attract potential candidates.
Employee Onboarding and Training:
Design and oversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires are well-integrated into the company.
Develop training programs tailored to blue-collar workers to enhance their skills and job performance.
Conduct training sessions on company policies, safety procedures, and job-specific tasks.
Employee Relations and Retention:
Foster a positive work environment and address employee grievances promptly.
Implement employee retention strategies to reduce turnover rates.
Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Performance Management:
Oversee performance appraisal processes and ensure regular feedback is provided.
Work with supervisors to address performance issues and implement improvement plans.
Recognize and reward outstanding employee performance.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Maintain accurate employee records and generate HR reports as needed.
Monitor industry trends and adjust HR practices accordingly.
Key Requirements & Skills:
Master’s degree in Human Resources.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HR management, focusing on the blue-collar workforce in the retail sector.
Strong knowledge of labour laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
Proven experience in high-volume recruitment and talent acquisition.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
Experience with diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Bilingual abilities, particularly in Tamil & Hindi.
