We are looking for a detail-oriented
Billing Clerk
to join our supermarket team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately scanning and billing products, handling customer transactions, and providing a smooth checkout experience. Success in this position means fast, accurate billing, excellent customer service, and helping maintain the efficiency of the store's front-end operations. This role is key to ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately scan and process customer purchases using the POS system.
  • Handle cash, card, and digital payment transactions efficiently.
  • Provide friendly and professional service to customers at checkout.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Resolve minor customer inquiries or refer issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking when needed.
  • Follow all company policies regarding cash handling and loss prevention.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education: High school (10th or 12th) or any higher education.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
  • Prior experience in retail or cashiering is a plus but not required.
