Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II - P&ID

Location: Bangalore or Coimbatore


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop P&ID for new and existing manufacturing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to identify potential risks and recommend preventive measures.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations and simulations to validate design concepts and optimize system performance.
  • Create technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports, to support project delivery and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate materials and equipment for piping systems.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to piping systems, proposing and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in P&ID design and engineering practices.


Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with relevant experience of 3-5 years required.
  • Proven experience working with mechanical systems, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Proficient in CAD software for design and simulation purposes.
  • Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in the semiconductor industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision.
  • Ability to think out-of-box.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others.
  • Regarded as a technical expert in their field.
  • Proficient in the use of SolidWorks PDM
