Role - SAP Basis Senior Consultant Job Summary: The SAP Sr. Basis Administrator is responsible for the technical implementation, maintenance, and support of SAP systems. This role involves configuring, monitoring, and optimizing SAP landscapes to ensure high performance, availability, and security. The SAP Basis professional works closely with other IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable SAP solutions that meet organizational needs.
SAP Skills:
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 7+ years experience in SAP Basis administration and technical support. Proficiency in SAP system installation, configuration, and maintenance. Knowledge of SAP architecture, components, and technologies (., SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA). Experience with SAP system upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning. Understands of database administration concepts, particularly with SAP HANA. Familiarity with cloud platforms (., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies. Responsibilities: System Administration : Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and related components such as SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA, and SAP Fiori. Performance Tuning : Monitor system performance, analyze bottlenecks, and implement performance optimization measures to ensure optimal SAP system performance. System Upgrades and Patch Management : Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, support package update, and system migrations in accordance with best practices and company guidelines. System Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Monitor system health, proactively identify and resolve issues, and respond to system alerts and incidents to minimize downtime and ensure system availability. RedHat OS security patching update : Help customer update the RedHat 8.9 OS security patching in DEV, QAS and Production every month. Oracle Bundle patch update : Plan and execute the quarterly Oracle bundle patch update for SAP systems. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and guidelines. Share knowledge and provide training to team members and end-users as needed. Project Support : Provide technical support and expertise for SAP implementation projects, system migrations, and other initiatives as required. Business Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely. Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Understands business processes for focus area or module. Ability to do research and perform detailed tasks. Strong analytical skills. Understands business functionality related to SAP module/application as well as can identify touch points between modules. Consulting Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Aptitude for working in a team environment; problem-solving skills, creative thinking, communicating clearly and empathetically, strong time management, and ability to collaborate with all levels of staff. Ability to explain ideas and concepts to other project team members and to client personnel. Has a solid foundation for consulting “soft” skills necessary for client engagements. Ability to interpret requirements and apply SAP best practices. General Skills:
Assists the project team efforts in developing solutions for client situations. Assist team effort in developing solutions for projects. Completes assignments within budget, meets project deadlines, makes and keeps sensible commitments to client and team Meets billing efficiency targets, and complies with all administrative responsibilities in a timely & effective manner Keeps project management apprised of project direction and client concerns Analyzes and develops reliable solutions which comply with specifications and standards, executes system test Understands SAP methodologies, tools, standards, and techniques Understands client’s business and technical environments Completes project documentation, demonstrates effective organizational skills, with minimal supervision Meets quality standards, correctly prioritizes own activities in accordance with project plan and budget Provides project team leaders with updates on the progress and difficulties encountered, and provides value-added insight and understanding Demonstrates the ability to accomplish project assignments resulting in quality service
