Summary

This position is responsible for designing and developing processes that translate data from various sources to destinations. The role involves analyzing existing code deliberate findings with team members, clients, and vendors, develop ingestion and transformation pipelines using best practices, and providing suggestions for improving current practices. Additionally, the position serves as a mentor for less experienced developers. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate technical information effectively. This role is strictly involved in the testing of the product and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application development & demo and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information.

Your role in our mission

Essential Job Functions

  • Must be able to analyze existing code written in SSIS and SQL Stored procedures and modify for new requirements
  • Solutions complex ETL-related technical tasks, identifies potential issues, resolve issues, and drives tasks to successful completion on or ahead of schedule.
  • Understands processes and procedures and advocates for their use with all project members both inside and outside the ETL team.
  • Mentors other team members in areas of expertise and ETL processes and standards and participates in code reviews
  • Escalates issues in a timely manner, and asks for assistance when needed.
  • Multi-tasks simultaneous assignments, prioritizing ETL tasks, ensuring all tasks are completed on or ahead of schedule
  • Develops, tests, manages, and implements ETL packages, SQL Stored Procedures and applications within the standards set by the team.
  • Solves complex issues in innovative ways.
  • Tunes and troubleshoots ETL applications.
  • Performs standard ETL administration tasks such as deployment, package migration and relocation, and managing metadata.
  • Prepares ETL packages for deployment to development, test environments following all Release Management policies.
What we're looking for
  • 5+ years ETL design and development experience using SSIS and MS SQL Backend like stored procedures, triggers etc.
  • Good skills in backend development in a MS SQL environment
  • 5+ years Analysis experience & database knowledge utilizing SSIS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to abide by Gainwell's policies and values
  • Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work
  • Preferred Licensure/Certification: Microsoft Business Intelligence certification(s).
